The PվɫÇéƬ Sustainable Procurement Strategy 2025/2028 sets out a framework which is designed to enable the council to continue on its journey of change and innovation; builds on existing sustainability practice to meet the substantial challenges of balancing the complexities of sustainable procurement within today’s economic climate and continued drive for best value.
This consultation is taking place in the context of current procurement legislation in Scotland which makes it an obligation for public bodies to put a Procurement Strategy in place and then report on how it has been delivered. Part of this obligation is the requirement to consult on the contents of the Sustainable Procurement Strategy before it is approved.
We are keen to hear your views on the draft document and the priorities within them. To make it easier for you to comment, the following questionnaire has been produced. The key changes to the document this year is the Procurement Strategy and Sustainable Procurement Policy 2022/2025 has been incorporated into one new document and renamed the Sustainable Procurement Strategy 2025/2028.
All sections have been updated to reflect the current context for this strategy. The Procurement Strategy by Category has also been updated to reflect new plans within the categories and the financial analysis has been updated with current 2023/2024 data.
