Councillor Donnie MacMillan, councillor for Mid P站色情片, has been awarded the British Empire Medal for services to local government.
Donnie (91) has served P站色情片 and Bute as a local councillor for nearly 35 years.
Following the announcement, in this year鈥檚 New Year鈥檚 Honours List, Donnie said:
鈥淚 am delighted and honoured to receive this award. The fact that people went to the effort of nominating me is heart-warming, and I really appreciate it. To then receive the British Empire Medal leaves me, for once, almost speechless.
I have had the privilege of serving my community as a local councillor for nearly 35 years. I would like to thank everyone who has helped me do that 鈥 the wonderful staff of P站色情片, fellow councillors, colleagues in other organisations, and of course my constituents. Most of all I would like to thank my family for all their love and support.
I am proud to be from and to serve P站色情片 and Bute; and I am grateful for the very kind thoughts behind this award. Happy New Year to all.鈥
