P站色情片 and Bute residents are now using a range of digital options to check when their bins are due to be uplifted, helping the environment by significantly cutting down on paper, and also making financial savings.
Previously 48,000 paper calendars were delivered to homes throughout the area.
This year, anyone who was unable to make use of the internet to check when their bins would be uplifted was able to request a printed calendar. Just over 3000 people took up the offer.
That means 96% of people are using alternative ways to check when their bins need to go out.
The choices available are:
-
Look up bin day uplift online by putting in details of your property;
-
Download one of the printable pdf calendars. There are more than 200 and they can be updated immediately if route changes occur;
-
Download an iCalendar into your mobile device. Dates will display in your calendars and provide alerts when bins are due for uplift;
-
A bin uplift day display in the MyAccount page of the 7000+ customers signed up to MyAccount;
-
A voice automated bin day uplift service on the 01546 605514 Amenity Golden Number; and
-
Service disruption announcements online, through voice automation and through the council's Keep in The Loop service.
Councillor Robin Currie, Policy Lead for Road, Infrastructure Services and Housing, said: 鈥淚鈥檇 like to thank residents for supporting our drive to reduce our carbon footprint in P站色情片 and Bute. Every step we take as a council, and as individuals, is important, no matter how small it may seem.
鈥淥ur hard-working amenities team not only delivers a front-line service uplifting more than two million bins every year. We also have staff behind the scenes making sure the routes are planned efficiently and our vehicles are kept maintained.鈥
Councillor Rory Colville, Policy Lead for Customer Support Services, said: 鈥淲e鈥檝e done a lot of work to offer residents as many ways as possible to get the information they need about their bin uplifts. The vast majority of people have found information in a way that suits them and I would encourage people to sign up to our Keep in the Loop service for up to date information on what鈥檚 happening in the council.鈥
