The 拢200,000, Dunoon illumination project is now complete.
The benefits of the colour-selectable lighting in P站色情片 Gardens, Castle House, Highland Mary Statue, Dunoon Pier and the War Memorial were obvious when these key landmarks lit up red, during the week, in honour of Remembrance Day.
As well as additional performance lighting in P站色情片 Gardens, the Bandstand now also offers musicians an on-site PA system and upgraded electrical supplies. The audio and lighting project was made possible through funding from the Scottish Government鈥檚, Town Centre Fund.
Additional money from the fund, announced last month, will see remedial work undertaken to the Bandstand, including improvements to the stage, as well as lighting elements for the Queen鈥檚 Hall.
Councillor Alastair Redman, Policy Lead for Business, Regeneration and Commercial Development, said: 鈥淭he ability to choose lighting themes for makes it possible to mark events, or create an atmosphere, in a way we haven鈥檛 been able to do in the past. It really enhances the environment and makes that part of the town very attractive.
鈥淲e continue to do all we can to attract regeneration funding to the area, and I was delighted when we received a further 拢440, 000 from the Town Centre Fund, 拢55,000 of which will come here to Dunoon.
鈥淚 know we are all struggling with the worries and restrictions brought by COVID-19. This won鈥檛 last forever. When it is safe, we will be ready to welcome visitors to a vibrant town with much to offer.鈥
