PվɫÇéƬ has published an updated procurement strategy and policy which offers guidance and support for businesses bidding to work with the Council.
The Procurement Strategy and Sustainable Procurement Policy 2022-25 provides information for local organisations and businesses, outlining how the council will acquire the goods and services it needs over the next three years.
The aim of the strategy is to ensure the procurement process delivers best value, with any financial savings be channelled into supporting essential services but also enables the Council to engage with the widest possible group of suppliers, business and contractors.
The policy also highlights how the Council will take a sustainable approach to its procurement activity.
Councillor Mary-Jean Devon, Policy Lead for Support Services:
“Ensuring the best value, we want to make the process of working with our procurement team as simple as possible for suppliers, contractors and small to medium sized businesses.
“That’s particularly important in light of the challenging times so many of our supplier partners have faced in recent months.
“We recognise the extremely important role all these groups play in supplying the goods and services that help support all the Council’s operations. Our aim is to increase efficiency, guarantee community benefit where possible and demonstrate best value improvements for PվɫÇéƬ and Bute.
