The 拢10m investment in P站色情片 and Bute鈥檚 roads for 2021/22 is on track to see 229 km of road improved, just over 10% of the road network, by the end of the financial year.
On top of that, the council has secured a further 拢1.249m, through the Scottish Timber Transport Scheme, towards repairing roads used to haul forestry timber.
And further investment of 拢900,000, which includes 拢400,000 of funding for green transport and travel, will be used to improve footways throughout P站色情片 and Bute.
The Environment, Development and Infrastructure Committee noted the progress and endorsed the new footways programme on Thursday (2 September).
Councillor Rory Colville, Policy Lead for Roads and Infrastructure Services, said: 鈥淚鈥檇 like to thank our council workers and contractors who have delivered this ambitious programme of work in difficult circumstances.
鈥淲e want to repair and protect as much of our road network as possible. That鈥檚 why we have chosen to invest significant funding over recent years. We are now seeing gradual improvement. Using surface dressing as the main means of road treatment means we can cover much more area, sealing the cracks in the carriageway. This prevents the ingress of water and will reduce the amount of reactive maintenance for potholes.鈥
