Are you a Helensburgh business owner looking to undertake repairs to your shopfront? Did you know there is a grant available to help with costs for painting, joinery and masonry work?
The Shopfront Improvement Scheme is part of the Helensburgh Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme (CARS) and is available to businesses within the designated CARS area in Helensburgh town centre. Previous shopfront improvement grants have resulted in an increase in customers and more people shopping local.
You can check if your business is eligible for the grant on the Helensburgh CARS boundary map.
If you are eligible, you can apply for grants for up to 80% towards the total costs of improvements, subject to conditions. More details including how to apply are available on the council website /planning-and-building/growth-and-development/helensburgh-cars-grants-how-it-works.
Councillor Liz McCabe, Policy Lead for Islands and Business Development:
鈥淭he Shopfront Improvement Scheme is helping businesses across P站色情片 and Bute to transform their shopfronts and increase footfall as a direct result. We have seen fantastic success stories of vacant shops reopening, exiting businesses getting a new lease of life and more people shopping local.
We hope to see the same results in Helensburgh and would encourage business owners to get in touch and apply for the grant to help cover repair costs.鈥
Historic Environment Scotland and P站色情片 jointly fund the Helensburgh Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme (CARS). The programme focusses on the regeneration of historical buildings as well as traditional skills training and community engagement.
