A new temporary modular school complete with gym hall, classrooms and a learning centre will help minimise disruption and ensure continued learning for John Logie Baird pupils as work to remove RAAC from the existing building starts in July.
P站色情片 is working with specialist engineers and contractors to remove and replace the roof structure. The essential works are likely to take approximately nine months. Primary and learning centre pupils will start the new term in August, with their teachers and support staff in the new temporary school, located on the school playing pitch.
Early Learning Childcare (ELC) pupils will move to neighbouring schools. The council is waiting to confirm current ELC registration numbers before finalising plans and will then contact families prior to the Easter holidays with more information.
Staff are aware of the plans and families received an update today.
Councillor Yvonne McNeilly, P站色情片鈥檚 Policy Lead for Education:
鈥淭he safety of staff, pupils and continuity of learning is a priority as we embark on major works. We understand this temporary change is daunting for everyone involved including our children and families. Our aim is to make the transition as seamless as possible with ongoing support in the lead up to the move and throughout these essential works.
We appreciate this is a big undertaking and thank everyone involved for their cooperation.鈥
