PվɫÇéƬ is inviting people to have their say on a proposed walking and cycling route that will link the ferry terminals at Tarbert and Kennacraig, making it safer and easier for more people to choose to walk and cycle to nearby services and facilities.
The council is seeking feedback from the local communities concerned and, with support from HITRANS and Transport Scotland, is hosting an initial public drop-in information gathering session at The Templar Arts and Leisure Centre, Harbour Street, Tarbert, from 4pm to 8pm on Friday 28 June, to which everyone is invited.
The proposed link between Tarbert and Kennacraig builds on the council’s ongoing development of walking and cycling routes in the area. The project demonstrates the council’s commitment to improving rural communities’ resilience by improving accessibility for everyone and addressing the challenges of climate change through sustainable travel options.
The Scottish Government has funded the first feasibility stage of the project via the Places for Everyone Grant Programme, administered by Sustrans.
