P站色情片 is seeking your views on a new design for Oban Town Centre North intended to make the area a more attractive, friendly space for walking, wheeling and cycling.
In July 2023, the council appointed LUC consultants to undertake a range of surveys to establish how the area is currently used and to help understand what people鈥檚 travel habits are, both within this site and the surrounding area. This work also allowed LUC to map out the existing constraints and identify where there were opportunities to improve the area for walking, wheeling and cycling.
The preparatory work that has taken place over the last few months has allowed the consultants to prepare a concept design and the council would now like to hear your views on this.
A public consultation is running from Thursday 14 March until Friday 5 April. To launch this, a public drop-in session is also taking place at the Rockfield Centre, Oban, on Thursday 14 March between 3-8pm.
The drop-in session will provide a further opportunity to talk directly with the team about the suggested design.
Councillor Andrew Kain, the council鈥檚 Policy Lead for Roads and Transport, said: 鈥淲e know that many people would love to leave the car behind and choose a more active method of transport to get around Oban town centre. We also appreciate there could be a number of barriers preventing this. That鈥檚 why we鈥檙e asking your help to let us know what would make it easier for you.
鈥淲e would love to hear from you so please call into the drop-in session or let us know your thoughts online. Your feedback is important as we look at greener and more attractive travel options to help everyday journeys. 鈥
The project is being funded through Transport Scotland via the Sustrans-administered Places for Everyone programme.
The consultation will be live on the council website from 14 March. For further information about the project, visit the dedicated .
