We are currently out of stock of food waste bins and are awaiting a delivery.
Requests for new or replacement food bins can still be made and will be fulfilled once we have bins in stock.
How to order new, replacement or second bins for rubbish and recycling
You can order a green wheelie bin for your mixed general waste in several ways (bins cost £44.65 each):
The council does not replace broken bins free of charge, nor can we supply parts for damaged bins e.g. new lids. If you believe your bin was damaged during a waste uplift please email enquiries@argyll-bute.gov.uk with your contact details, details of the incident and pictures of the damage caused.
​Arrangements can be made for certain households to have a second general waste green bin - where there are five or more people or where someone has a medical condition that generates waste - qualifying households can using our online form.
Households are entitled to a free blue wheelie bin for mixed recycling (exceptions are residents of Colonsay and some homes in Campbeltown. Residents of Coll and Lismore use recycling bags inside their blue bin).

Residents of Colonsay, and some homes in Campbeltown use recycling bags instead of a blue bin, and residents of Coll and Lismore use recycling bags inside their blue bin. You can recycle the same items in the your bags.

If you need supplies of liners simply tie a liner bag to the handle of your caddy and the waste crews will deliver some. Supplies of liners can also be collected from the Customer Service Point at Helensburgh Civic Centre
