Rothesay Pavilion has taken its next step towards becoming a top cultural tourist destination for Scotland, and a local jobs provider for Bute.

PվɫÇéƬ remains committed to its position that a permanent solution must be found for issues at the Rest and be Thankful as swiftly as possible.

PվɫÇéƬ has hailed the arrival of the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race in Oban earlier this summer as a roaring success and councillors have agreed to consider a proposal to make a bid for the event to return to the town in 2026.

PվɫÇéƬ confirmed its ongoing commitment to promoting Gaelic language and culture throughout the area. However, following an extensive 10-week public consultation, at full council today, Councillors agreed not to pursue a dedicated Gaelic School at this time.

The latest round of PվɫÇéƬ’s Strategic Events and Festivals Fund opens for applications on Monday 7 October.

A new Community Hub in Kilcreggan opens on 1 October, making it easier for residents to access a range of council resources and information.

Fourteen community projects in PվɫÇéƬ and Bute have received a share of £365,000 from the Scottish Government's Community-Led Local Development Fund (CLLD).

Priorities and plans are already set out to keep PվɫÇéƬ and Bute open for business over the coming winter and these were approved by the council’s Environment, Development and Infrastructure committee on 12 September.

Council measures to encourage and expand the use of Gaelic are continuing to deliver benefits for young people and communities across PվɫÇéƬ and Bute.

Helping to sustain small businesses and community organisations, making PվɫÇéƬ and Bute more investor-ready, and improving the area’s towns and villages as places to live, work and visit - these are just some of the benefits from £45 million of investment secured by PվɫÇéƬ.
